Culturefold does not require readers to create accounts and does not sell personal data.
What we collect
Our hosting provider records standard technical information, such as anonymised request logs, to keep the site secure and working. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to respond.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how readers use the site — which stories are read, how long people stay, and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. We receive reports based on this data, and we do not use it to advertise to you or to identify individual readers.
You can manage or withdraw your consent to this tracking at any time. The easiest ways are to:
- clear or block cookies from google.com and analytics.google.com in your browser’s privacy settings, or set your browser to block third-party cookies;
- use Google’s opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics recording your visits on every site you use it on; or
- adjust the ads Google shows you and what it infers about you at Google Ads Settings.
Blocking these cookies does not affect how the site works: every story remains fully readable.
Sharing
Share buttons link to third-party services; those services apply their own privacy policies once you follow the link. The only other party that receives information about your visit is Google, through the analytics described above.
Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you and request its deletion at hello@culturefold.com.
This policy should be reviewed by the publisher before launch.
